The Midwest GeoSciences Group began in 1996 with the idea that consultants could improve their boring logs using a few simple steps. Tim Kemmis and Dan Kelleher founded "MidwestGeo" and conducted the first course: Improving Hydrogeologic Investigations, Part 1: Site Geologic Characterization in Glaciated Areas in three states. Feedback and notebook orders compelled us to offer a second course: Advances in Ground Water Movement Through Glacial Successions. We quickly learned that professionals appreciated our courses because they were designed by practitioners for practitioners. We listened and learned and thus a portfolio of field guides were developed to improve boring logs and analyze field data as the drilling and sampling program progresses. Other courses followed and today we have conducted more than 30 courses in 15 states. We enjoy hearing from you and welcome your ideas for improving environment and engineering processes.
